Why javascript challenge is so difficult for me?

The riddles are often made complicated in order to trip you.

Just go on studying the language, write more code, and in time your understanding is good enough to tackle the harder problems as well.

Probably because you haven't got too much practice with it. You can look at your wrong answers, and find out why you got it wrong or why is it right.
