Can my device get a virus from clicking on fellow Sololearners code examples or links?

Just asking out of curiosity

Agree with Ace, and if you notice something unusual (weird links, possibly harmful things) you can tell the moderators, they know what to do. The Community keeps a lookout for each other to be safe 👍

It is always hard to rule out the risk of an infection. Someone could write a web code that requests you to download an infected exe file as soon as it runs. Base 64 encoding would let the web code contain all the virus's data instead of hosting the file on another server. If you ran this hypothetical exe in Windows, your computer would be infected. If you test this, don't publish it or you could get in a lot of trouble.
