So people create games, they look good, impressive pictures, how they were created, what tools they use, what technologies they use? Anyone aware of the gaming industry?

What programs are used to create 2D objects? for animation? Please advise.?

It depends. Are you using any game engine like unity or unreal engine?
You can always use photoshop for any 2D object. If you need more vectoral work rather than pixel, you can use illustrator.
