Help needed

Question

Hi, I need some advice on creating a database for a ladder league (8 ball pool)
There will be 32 players
Each player may challenge a player up to 5 places above them and if they win they swap league positions. I’m thinking sql! Any advice?
There are a few more rules

I would recommend using html, css and Javascript for this because sql is more for making tables and charts.
