Sonic I think a lot of people, me including, at first think that SQL is a full fledged prog lang, like python or C. it is of course a DSL but it took me some time to realise that.

If you use MySql the best management tool is phpmyadmin

If you are uncomfortable with a terminal, I suggest Datagrip or MySQL Workbench.
