I am not exactly sure what you are asking, but I think my andwer is, no
you don’t need a physics background to code.
I myself have studied music and English.

only for physics based tasks.
for example- you wanna build a game engine .
then you should atleast know the basic physics and how it acts
like Force, Gravity, etc.

Physics are not related with programming but you write program and which are related with physics then physics is
Necessary after programming
Like you write a program for monitoring system related with physical quantities (heat, temp., frequency, waves)

No. But if you think outside the box. Physics is to do with matter and energy. So......
For programming, you need your grey matter (brain) and physical matter (hands) to type. You also need energy (stamina and determination) to embrace programming and it's challenges.
Physics plays it's part, but not at coding level. :)

Well, for general programming not at all but, obliviously, if you have to develop something related to physics, yes... Anyway its not needed for general programming learn 😉

Physics and programming doesn't have any relationship. Both are different things. I never heard that physics used in any programming language. If you say about Math then I can say yes.
