Python is more simple and easy to read and understand, also since python is so popular there is plenty of resources to get help for python. Python has an easier syntax than C++ and more beginner friendly. Try to use python to learn the concepts of programming, and stick to python for a while. Once you grasp the concepts of programming, you can translate that knowlegde to other languages and learn them faster. But try out both courses and see what sticks better. It really depends on what your goal is
