Hello guys can anyone simply put me through on how to integrate biometric recorgnition & matching in my java project?

Question

I am working on blood donors register. So client of method checkRegister() would pass the the biometric capture(fingerprint) as an argument to fetch donor information from database if and only method doesFingerprintMatch() is true

@Martin Taylor thank you for your response. The software has nothing to do with blood typing or issuing of blood to potential recipient. I am a medical laboratory scientist and I am knowledgeable in this area. Fingerprint scoring isn't an option when it comes to cross matching. The software I am proposing is just to check frequent blood donation among commercial blood donors(donate blood for money) in the center I am currently.

Prior to blood donation every donor is enrolled in a pre-donation exercise in order to ensure the donor is fit to donate blood. Most importantly is fetching the accurate date of previous blood donation. In most cases commercial donors lie about this and it is a major issue. It often requires physical asult to get them say the truth.
The commercial donors don't mind donating at 2-3days to few weeks interval which is hazardous to their health. Hence, the development of an e-register for blood donors as part of pre-donation screening.

I started learning how to code sometime last year on this platform and I have written a few programs to solve basic tasks. This is the first time I am deploying my knowledge of coding to solve a certain problem in my center. I would appreciate if you can give me another option apart from fingerprint that is unique to an individual. I don't have a fingerprint reader as well but my PC supports fingerprinting. I don't know if that could be useful in this case.
