I do it the following way
1. Follow the person to get access to Direct Message
2. Make your code - leave private
3. Attach code to DM when posting to user, ask them to copy it for themselves.
4. When you delete your original code, they will lose access to it unless they have made a copy for themselves

I think you can via direct message's.
But you have to give yourself a more specific user name, or get a really nice avatar.
Because I can find more than one Maria to test this.

Make the code you write private, and send the link via messages.
