How does SL calculate challenge XP?

I love the challenges and usually just hit random. How do they calculate how much xp to give the winner? At first I assumed it was based on difference in level, but that doesn’t seem to always be the case.

Calculations are based on the experience of learning of yours and opponent. If its almost the same or has a less difference, the rewarded EXP may be less. But if there's a far more differnce between your exp and the opponents exp in the particular language, the exp reward may be high.
P.S. its just an assumption of mine. Give this a reality check if that's incorrect.

After some digging I think it’s based on your “weapon”’s xp vs your opponent. So yes pretty much what youre saying pixel.

Though if thats true then it seems like this promotes high xp players feeding on low xp players.

I would think you’d want to encourage players of similar experience playing each other as much as possible.
