You will need a code editor or an IDE (Integrated Development Environment). Those are software you will need to install on your machine in order to start coding. But since you appear undecided on which language you want to code in, I suggest you to search the net for an editor or IDE review, from there on, you decide which editor/IDE you want by your own preference.

P.S. For future reference, please avoid writing a question in the tags ('how to code on pc').

First choose a language and learn it then practice it regularly on notepad as it'll improve your syntactical approach in writing and reading programs.

you should look into the topics regularly even for 5 minutes is fine as long as you don't forget the functions and methods in a language.

if you are new to programming then learning "C" or "Python" will Help much as they are easy to learn.

coding isn't hard unless you know the methods and the ways to use them at correct places.
