Is good to swich from windows 10 to linux mint 19 cimanogen?

I switched to linux two years ago (and I was really bad with computers). I started dual booting windows 10 with linux, for almost a year. For the first month, I used windows a lot because I still wasn't used to linux, but few months after I started using linux more and more untill I finally decided to completly dump windows, and I don't regret it. Once you get used to it, linux actually much easier to use than windows, because you know what you're doing, and you can tweak it to your own needs. It was thanks to linux than I started coding, I didn't even know programming existed and was so easy to learn. Anyway, for a programmer, it is very useful to switch to linux. There are many advantages such as speed and a better file system structure.
Also, for a computer with low specs like yours (the CPU is fine, but very little RAM), linux will be significantly faster.

Short Answer: Yes, it is worth it.

𝕵𝖆𝖓 𝕸𝖆𝖗𝖐𝖚𝖘 I have tried many distros, and messed up with them many times, but I never liked ubuntu. I only used it for a week in total, probably the least time I spent on any linux distro.

Mirielle🐶 you're right, most windows apps won't work on linux. But, linux itself has a really huge amount of open-source soxtware, and software built for linux users. There is almost always an alternative to whatever tool that exists on other OS. Untill this moment, I've never had problems with lack of software, everything I need I can install simply by typing the name of the program, without having to worry about which website to download it from, which version...
It's only one command. And even if you don't know how to use the terminal, beginner-friendly such as mint and manjaro have GUI for installing software, so no need to worry. I invite you to try linux too!

Arydev|oopsy[boss]| with the amount of ram you got, I suspect blender will run smoothly. Also, you need a GPU too. Blender depends on the hardware, more than the software. But in general, linux is faster than windows in every way, so you will have better performance there.

Mirielle🐶 Kali is not beginner-friendly, it is an advanced OS meant for penetration testing purposes.
I haven't used windows at all for more than a year, and as a programmer/pentester, linux offers much more than what windows 10 does, but I never tried MAC OS so I can't judge. However, try these OS if you want:
-> Manjaro Linux XFCE
-> Linux Mint Cinnamon
-> MX Linux
And for MAC-similar OS:
-> Elementary OS
(Elementary OS does not work well for some reason on my laptop&desktop, I tried installing different versions of it and it still lagged)

Yes, I think it is good since:
1. It is a good idea to start with something Ubuntu and Mint is based on Ubuntu if I'm not wrong.
2. The soft you listed is also supported in Linux.
3. You have very little amount of RAM.
4. You can start with dual booting in case you regret it. Anyways, once you go Linux you can't go back XD.
