SVG animation

Question

I need some help.
Please tell me:
1.How do "begin" attribute in html (<animation begin = "click">) works?
2.How to start and stop animations using JavaScript functions?(I know about .innerHTML, document.createElement etc.)
3.How to execute something when one SVG figure hits other?
