What programming language did you start out with in your ventures and which one did you wish you picked up first?

Long ago, I started with Basic and Pascal :)
Now I went for Python and I'm sticking to it for the time-being.

I started with HTML and CSS at the same time, but I wish I would have learned something like PHP and Python first.

I did with C/C++ when I took my degree at college. But I wish I started with Python because its simplicity and neat syntax
