Go vs Elixir

Question

The main goal of these languages is concurrency, but both of these languages are used for two very different things. I want to know which one to choose for web development, or even a general overview of each use case.

Elixir is a functional language and quite different from the mainstream. Therefore it may be a bit more difficult to learn and master. But apparently it is excellent for building web applications, small or large size.

Go lang is supported by Google and for a good reason: it excels in backend programming, managing networks and cloud infrastructure, with great performance and reliability.

This is just a little tid bit: Discord uses a lot of Elixir in their stack (along with Rust in some parts)
