I'm curious about the real applications of code and programming in real life. I'm a beginner, but I wish to discuss

I know that programming code can solve many problems quickly and optimize processes in companies! But for example in cars industry, they are developing self drive systems, so in future people doesn't need to drive! Driving is a skill and for many people a job! I have my opinion related to this subject. I would like to know people's opinion about this subject, benefits and costs and the money that's spent on developing, cars, highways, control centers, etc, and if it's wise doing that, since humans are developing technology to way fast, comparatively to ours social, health and educational systems. Sorry if I'm messy on my way to exposing this. Once again thanks to all.

The advancement of technology will inevitably change the way how humans live their lives. This was so during the industrial revolution and even more today. Jobs disappear, new patterns emerge. At this pace of the robotization and AI, every human may eventually become a robot developer or robot supervisor. If you are interested in the philosophical aspect you need to check this too: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technological_singularity

Wow...thank you for the share! I agree with Stephen Hawking and Elon Musk opinion. My intuition always told me the best way to reach a goal (I guess) I think that in some point, we need to sacrifice something for better global goals...in some cases could be time, money, ego, confort. I'm aware that knowledge can be achieved easily, but its it's preferable achieve happiness with the right knowledge. It's just one point :) thank you so much

Code is everywhere from supermarket checkout counters to auto-flush urinals.
