Is it a bad thing to ask a lot of questions?
Hello, I am quite new to programming(On my way to my 4th week of programming), but when I am doing projects on my own I tend to search up how to do things after a few tests runs, but I fear that I am a bit too reliant on using something like youtube or stack overflow. I also fear that because I am always asking too many questions and that my skills wouldn't be able to cross over to work once I leave college due to this. So is it a good thing that I ask a lot of questions? or what should I do if not? Thank you for reading! -Jack

It is not the quantity but the quality of questions you have to care for.
-Is it a programming related question
-Can I answer myself
-using searchbar
-repeating lessons
-asking google because it is general
If it is yes/no your questions are welcome....best with link of what you tried before

believe me i sometimes google things that look silly if i tell someone that i had to google it just to solve the problem it will sound stupid, you will learn a lot by asking lots of question and using stackoverflow and youtube, am sure thats a good thing

Nothing wrong there. What can you access as experience if there are only four weeks. This is the learning process, good thing you have where to search quickly. I remember when I had to go through few books just to get an answer.
Later maybe this could be a problem, but not even then. It is all part of the learning process and we learn all of our life.
Good luck!!!

No problem with using all the resources available, professional programmers also google stuff. :)
You have to make an honest judgment though: 'Will I need this again?' If so, it would be probably best to google it just once and properly learn it.
Anyway, googling for yourself is a hundred times better than making other people google for you (daily q&a pattern).
