What's the best language for an EE major?

Is anyone here studying Electrical Engineering, what language do you mostly use? I'm in my 3rd year I've studied Java and C++. My advisor had me take Java after I took robotics using C++. But do I really need Java?

C or C++. C because Matlab uses a lot of C and C++ for general programming.

Thanks! csci 142 "java 1" was pretty easy but it
didn't seem like anything I could apply to a project without unnecessary complications

Java is more for web apps and stuff. Its really unnesessary for us to learn (its super easy to learn though so if you ever needed it you could learn it quickly). Just take the next C++ course
