But if someone is really advanced he can nearly achieve all things using c++,java,Ruby etc.
Just create a program to do so.

It depends on what you want to achieve.
You surely cannot use SQL to create programs.
SQL can be used to scrounge large databases efficiently. Java and C++ can nearly achieve same tasks not to mention of python, Ruby etc. PHP for websites.

Might be true at my school it is only SQL with just these commands.

So 11 commands in total.

sql is very much a language using programmatic transact... just as java compiles differently to ruby... they are still recognised as a programming languages... and let's not forget sql server environments like SSRS and SSIS.

me either... I am just stating that sql is its own language... in fact the power of sql transact can allow you to almost complete a task before you write any C# or JAVA... it's not just about storing data.
