Not a single one of these Answers actually listed a framework. Java is a programming language and JavaScript is a scripting language... I think op of this meant a web framework like bootstrap... Sorry I cant help you with that, but to everyone reading this please dont post wrong answers. Thank you! Also bootstrap is pretty popular and you should definitely look at it. //EDIT I just noticed that one answer said React.js and Node.js, which are indeed frameworks, so yeah, check that out. Everyone else: Stop posting shit!

There's plenty JQuery, React.js, Angular, there's so many just pick one that suits your need or project, so much information on this on the net. A more in depth answer would be too long sites like Codeacademy can help too

I'd suggest, in First place, get your skills on CSS3 and HTML, sharpened, off course java script, too. The fact, that a framework, make things a little easier, doesn't substitute hard work.

first, we could separate your question in two. client side and server side scripting, its framework. client side scripting such as html, css, javascript, ajax, xml -> framework: bootstrap, etc server side scripting such as php, java, python, perl, nodejs -> framework: django, flask, express, etc. pick some script which have big n fast growing community and choose at least 1 framework for each side. the best one is the most one you have mastered it :)

javascript is good for giving the D.O.M. functionality, but it is not a framework.

folks, a framework consists of premade code to give the project resposive design. not one language on its own is considered a framework. a framework has html to customize your web page/project, and css media queries for responsive design for all devices. java is not a framework. it is a programming language. javascript is not a framework. all javascript does is give the D.O.M. functionality. a lot of these answers are counter productive to the question. so itll probably help to know what youre talking about before you answer a question. heres a little something in case some of you folks need to research it. http://getbootstrap.com/

If you're referring to new javascript technologies I recommend learning React.js and Node.js.

you can learn bootstrap if you know javascript, jquery . It's effective in building mobile and desktop version of websites with ease. For back-end if you are opting for php, try learning codignitor if you are a beginner, then can move to frameworks like yii . Learn MySQL too for database

There is a wide plethora of frameworks spread over a wide variety of languages to choose from, and without a more specific indication of your goals narrowing them down is impossible. If you are unable to really specify at this point a good place to start is with JS frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue.js, Ember, Meteor, etc. That being said I wouldn't overly worry about frameworks if I were you, focus on really mastering HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JS and building something without a framework first and then you'll be in a better position to answer your own question about what frameworks and possible additional languages would best fit your needs.
