Can we use python to make interactive website?

Can we use python to make interactive website, like we do with JS for Frontend part?

So there are two ways to look at it really:

In a way, Brython is translated to Javascript, so is it even Python?

On the other hand, a programming language is different to its own implementation. The language specification itself though would be syntax + rules of behavior.

So if it looks like Python, walks like Python, quacks like Python...
