Linux is a kernel (a kernal is the core of an operating system which does all the os opertaions and processes like resource allocation, file management and other stuff).
Kali linux is a linux distribution. Meaning it is an operating system which uses linux kernal and some other essential softwares(mostly gnu softwars) to make it a complete operating system.
Kali linux has python installed by default which makes executing python scripts easier.

Tejas Mondeeri almost all linux distribution comes with Python pre-installed. ;)
OSX, wich is roughly build around a proprietary linux kernel forks, comes also with Python preinstalled ;P
In fact, quite only Windows (doesn't come with Python pre-installed. :(
Well, mobile devices too doesn't comes with Python preinstalled ^^

It's a linux distribution intended for computer forensics tasks, basically securing a computer system.

Yes, debian based systems have the widest user base and most people think that all the linux systems are like debian systems. While i was a beginner even i had a lot of confusions regarding linux systems but later it gets clear as you reasearch more.

Tejas Mondeeri Yes? Only debian based? Maybe: I must confess that I cannot infirm or confirm... Anyway, Debian based distribution represent quite major part of linux distributions, isn't it? (in numerous: I know there's others great flavors but Debian have quite certainly the widest users ecosystem) ;)

I didn't think "that all the linux system are like debian" and I well know the difference between linux (kernel) and a distribution (wich isn't a linux itself but an OS + linux kernel), but I wrong thought that quite all distribution comes with python preinstalled ^^
