What sparked your ambition to code?

If so do you have any inspirational views to share relating to your story? :)

Programming was always something that caught my interest. One day, when I was about 15, a little DSiWare game called Petit Computer came out, which was basically a mobile environment for this little dialect of BASIC. I couldn't resist. When I got it, I realized I had no idea what I was supposed to do, so I started looking at the guide. I didn't understand that either, so I looked at some other code examples and got some idea of what I was supposed to be doing. It seems like a small thing, but just printing text on the screen kept my attention. The satisfaction when I learned about variables, arrays, and subroutines was like nothing else. Just learning the tricks was cool, and I didn't care how useless or trivial the programs I made were. Then I got into Java, Python, C, etc., and there was no going back. I guess that if there's any inspirational words I have, it would be this: learn for the sake of learning. Don't aspire to be something great and influential - keep studying, have fun with what you do, and you'll get way more satisfaction than any "greatness" could give you.
