Html, css and Javascript are required to create basic sites You can learn php and mysql to work with the database. By learning mysql and php you can add database like functions like to store information which is taken by user... Making login page and many more

I think so. PHP cannot something more than JavaScript. ASPX (programmed with C#) – the same case. Because JavaScript can everything that can browser. (Not everything, it cannot system context menu but ASPX and PHP either) But If you want really big website, I recommend TypeScript by Microsoft (You will need node.js).

Kevin Star – nice explanation. If you need only Front-end that's good choice for backend I recommend Node.js, PHP, SQL... (I forgot PHP is also back-end)
