yes, i believe.
it is an oop so it serves the same purpose as c++ or java. it just has worse syntax and libraries....

python is dependant upon the white spaces. it doesnt use semicolons. I just prefer c++ or java.
plus it's "constructor" is something like
__init_
its gross. lol
