It might be easy as people say . But in my opinion it may be easy in starting. But after all when you go for standard from basics it will be no more easier then other . It is said to be simple just because of it's easy syntex of writing . As not much more work or effort is required at starting

Better to start learning C programing before python,coz u might get some ideas!! Though some concepts are different but still u can manage it really good!!
