You can. But I don't think. It's a good idea. If you do so. You have to enable install from unknown sources. Which is not recommended. Because you have to test your app many times during development.

I will say. For testing use virtual devices. Android Studio is best. But expo also can help.

Martin Taylor also theses days I think devices have options allow unknown source install from only specific apps. So enabling this, only makes that app pass, other apps need to ask the permission
