Do we really need Visual Studio even if we install Code Blocks?

Not at all, it's developer candy, with it's intellisense, code completion and integration with windows APIs, you're free, and advised, to try and learn without it. Better to be sure it's the IDE you want to stick with at least.
OTOH you won't get far with windows if you're having to memorize which #includes to use.

I know I do not need it. You can alternatively install Dev-C ++.
