You can assume that nothing in programming is added automatically. If you want a new line in your sting, you have to be the one to enter "/n". I know that I would not want an IDE or the Python programming language to enter "/n" for me. I want the control of my own code. I don't know if this answers your question or not, but this is what I think you meant.
