Not a programming question

If someone does something BAD but believes its something GOOD (doing with good intent), without knowing that it's bad, would Karma have a negative or positive effect on their life?

I think this is where cause and effect comes into play. What is cause and effect? "Cause and effect is a relationship between events or things, where one is the result of the other or others. This is a combination of action and reaction." - YourDictionary.com Meaning regardless of what your INTENT was and regardless of whether the cause is BAD or GOOD, there will be an effect or effects. Example: Regardless of whether or not you believe brushing your teeth is BAD or GOOD and regardless of whether your INTENTIONS are GOOD or BAD.. if ( you don't brush your teeth ){ //you will get cavities } if ( cause ) { //effect }

A person kills somebody thinking that he's the God's messenger and he actually thinks he is doing good. How do you think? Will Karma pat him on the back and say "Good job, Pal. Keep going. " ?

With due respect, I don't think you all know the meaning of KARMA("कर्म") and what you are talking is related with KARMA. KARMA means any act you do thats all.. A human is neither good or bad. It is his KARMA or the act he performs that is good or bad. You should all think about that how we can judge a person! We can only judge him by his KARMA as we can't enter in his head and anlyse his thoughts.

If someone does something bad, the outcome is bad. You may think its a good idea to run a red light on a buisy intersection, that doesnt change the fact you just drove into traffic and wrecked your car.
