SQL is of course one of the most important things to know as DB admin, but also bash or at least basics of any other programming language, the basics of e.g. in-memory data management, data structures etc. and many tools. Which tools and what knowledge in detail depends mainly on the databases to administrate. It's it about data storages for web, mainly internal with one (or more) of the large databases of enterprise scope or both?

yes sql is good start.........but you should also consider some modern databases and technologies............like mongoDB and Redis........this is essential for growing....sql is good start .......and you can use python too for data science or hnadling sql more easily
