End to end encryption ?

As you all know security is a big deal , whenever we create a new project with backend on web or anywhere else.

How can we provide end to end encryption so that hacker couldn't steal data , when ever creating a project with database without encryption anyone hacker can view the data, if there is encryption then it would be difficult for hacker to steal data.

So, how to do end to end encryption, you can give your answers in any language ( try to give in php of possible)

You can make your own algo to encrypt the data like MD5 algo, cipher algo etc
