What is the difference between MySQL and SQL?

Are they similar to MongoDB?

@FestusMaga MySql is a database application management system while SQL is the language of database. also Oracle is a database application management syatem

MySQL is a dialect of SQL. There are others like MSSQL or Oracle. They all have subtle deviations from SQL standard. MongoDB is usually queried not in SQL, but a kind of JSON.

This sounds silly, if you know sql tables, would it be possible to write in these additional languages if they somewhat come off them? MySQL and mongol sql?
