Is Hp elitebook 840 g3 is good for programming purposes.

Hello friends i am going to buy hp elitebook 840 g3 i5 6th generation with 8gb ram and 500gb hdd.I just started as a student in computer science.So i want to buy a laptop good for programming purposes.So is this laptop is good for programming.

I think so, I have had to do a few projects with only 2gb of ram and other shared resources. I also have a raspberry pi with like half this resources. Good Luck!
