I just finished CSS course, how do I get better at designing, is remaking popular websites out of scratch a good idea?

I am done learning CSS, I know almost all properties but it takes me a redicolous ammount of time to make anything, I also think my styling techniques may aren't very well, and want to improve both my code and speed, so I had the idea to take a screenshot of popular nice looking websites like facebook and youtube and try to remake them from scratch, I would make my own websites but I'm not very creative, copying other websites may help me improve my creativity since I will get more familiar with navigation bars and other stuff that a website needs.
