Create dynamic arrays

hello all, I am somewhat new to java, been using JavaScript for quite some time now, at the moment I'm using processing where it is super easy to create dynamic arrays, I was just wondering if it's as easy in Java as in JavaScript.

Strongly typed language and not strongly typed language (there is not so easily)
