Javascript-ish Questions

Question

1. What is the equivalent of var.split() in JavaScript? I might have missed that. (In Python, that would split the value of var (if var is a string) into words.)

2. I know you can use different types of JavaScript and stuff using the script tag. Is there a way to add Python into a web page using a script tag?
