Fall Forward ... A good Github portfolio can be great, but more often than not, it reveals just how raw and inexperienced the developer is. It really depends on how good the interviewer is at extrapolating potential beyond all the antipatterns and bad coding practices for which the new developer will be oblivious to.
If you know your portfolio is good, then go for it. Be sure you have it validated by a developer who knows what they're doing.
Also, it's better to focus on one solid project that truly demonstrates your proficiency than a lot of projects with a few minor contributions.
The interviewer isn't going to have time to review them all.
