Does answering questions on SO count as coding practice?

I haven't been working on any major projects since two weeks due to school. I have however been answering questions on stackoverflow, this includes going through peoples codes and then modifying it. Does this count as coding practice since I have to write code?

Totally does. You actually learn a lot when answering questions. Even I haven't been working on literally anything because of studies since the past 2 months. But I come to SoloLearn to answer questions (StackOverflow is out of my league), and once in a while I find some question which I can't figure out the answer to and I find myself researching and experimenting for the next half an hour. Thus, after answering the question, I have more knowledge than I had a few minutes ago. Also, I'm not sure, but I think this question is open-ended?
