How to become a fine Software Engineer? (Provided I'm a CS student)
What languages should I learn? Is competitive programming necessary to become a fine software engineer? What are the resources to become atleast a beginner in developing softwares?

Much depends on the chosen direction. Each area of programming has its own languages. But anyone CE it doesn't hurt to know C ++ and Java eg.
