Of course it is okay. Because no one is forcing you to learn only one language forever. It is your choice, your decision.

And yeah. Sometimes it is boring to learn something for a long time. My suggestion will be, look for a new way whenever you think you're bored.

Sometimes I also feel that front-end web is not for me. Though it seems hard, but I like it. So I look for a new angle. One thing you should consider that, never let the boringness to decide what you should do or not.
