best(popular) graphics library(android) based on opengl es

Question

what is the best graphics(3d) library for Android(Java) based on opengl es? Do games written with Java have good performance?(Can I design large projects with good performance?) Many developers use game engines. Is pure coding also used?

I don't think so, Java best works in app development(both Android & Desktop), but for games, the big boys are C++/C#. C++ is the faster & the best overall, it's harder than C# though. (Speaking of unreal + unity engines)
