what language would be preferable to learn for server side stuffs...kinda confused

You should learn PHP first if you want to make a website or something. You can host PHP codes on shared hosting and they're​ cheap. But you cannot host NodeJS codes on a shared hosting. But you can learn NodeJS if you have already learned JavaScript.
