So..I just gave my last exam in high school and will be going to college starting Mid JUNE this year and wanted to learn algorithms for a head start in College (COMP. science ENGG.) What are the areas I should focus on? What is MATLAB ? P.S. I am very well versed with JAVA-NETBEANS IDE AND C++.

I would suggest you to search algorithms and data structures, Bob Sedgewick from Princeton on youtube. Great professor, great class.

You have a lot of excercises on www.hackerrank.com. You can search for Introduction to Algorithms 3rd edition, Cormen also Cracking the coding interview.
