None of the examples load in intro to python
I’m taking the class and, other than the “Hello World” example found in the first section, none of the examples load. They just show a blank screen and the run button does nothing (even if I manually put the code the example should have had beforehand). Is there a way around this? It’s really frustrating not being able to see the examples.

Branden Pennington are you still having the issue? I went into the Python For Beginners and the first 10 samples worked for me. But I have seen this problem before. I switched to another lesson and then went back and it worked. Not sure if it is server load or not. It seemed a transient issue.

which ide are you using ?

can you send me the code that didn't work out ?

Reasons for these are mostly due to unstable internet connection or failure for the the app to load well on first load. So you have to Restart the app and also your internet connection and try again.
Hope this is helpful.

Branden Pennington There are also restricted access to the “try it yourself” link.

Are you speaking of a Sololearn course? Python For Beginners? There is not an Intro to Python lesson I am aware of. That is why I ask. Are you speaking of something else on another platform?

Yes im referring to python for beginners. Sorry for the confusion

It is. I cant for the life of me figure out whats the cause. I have even uninstalled/reinstalled the app

I do have a lockdown app that blocks trackers. Would that effect this possibly?

Paul K Sadler hey i just tried to load those examples in a browser(as opposed to my app which i have been using) and something simlar happened. I could load the first two examples found in 2.1 and 3.1 but all examples after pop up with an “upgrade to pro”. It didnt do this in the app. Are these examples locked behind a paywall? I figured it was just the practice segments found at the end of each section but it makes sense since the “code” section of the app that lets you choose you language and program freely does work (and the examples use that same built in ide). Im a bit irritated if this is the case because those examples seem useful

The examples in the lessons are not blocked if you can get to the lesson itself. Many of the challenges are only available in pro or for unlock with bits.

Its so weird. The browser version for those examples really do ask me to upgrade. Oh well i sent the email to support so i will wait on them. Thanks

I would be interested in what they have to say if you don't mind updating the thread

Sure. I just realized that i have a 14 day trial for pro that i can cancel before being charged. I suppose i can also test this to see if the examples load after the upgrade. I have to work right now so i have to wait but i will keep this thread updated regardless when i know more

You would also be able to try the 25 challenges that are pro.

Paul K Sadler holy crap it actually is gated behind pro. Idk if that was a thing for older members ( im new just joined yesterday) but it is true for me. It literally showed a picture with info on examples saying you can run them. This was the tutorial for pro features. Im actually shocked that its gated. I get the ads and the challenges but im shocked the examples within the lessons themselves are gated

Im just using the ide built into the mobile app. Im refering to the examples found im the learning sections. Where it says “for example” or “try these” and then it tells you to tap. I hope im explaining this right

Its not a code i can send. Its in the “learn” section of the mobile app for the intro to python course. They have prebuilt examples that have a snippit of code that explains whatever the section is talking about but those examples dont load. I was just curious if someone else encountered this

I appreciate the answer. Sadly it didnt fix anything. The same first couple sections of the class load examples but nothing else will. I suppose i can pull up another ide to use alongside it but thats a bit inconvienent
