Coding vs wordpress for Freelancing

Is it worth learning html, css then js, node or react for freelancing even when there is wordpress, people can build from it themselves?

I didn't try wordpress but I think both ways can be useful, you can learn both. If the website is basic you can simply use wordpress. programming gives you more control, customization, scalability and better performance.
