Oh, you answered your question in your own description. [Edit: Description is edited now.] The function type exists (see lambda expressions), but it's new to me that you can inherit it.

Yes? function is a derived data type, suppose "fun(23, 2.2)" is a function call then, fun() is a function with two arguments 1st is an integer and other one is float, hence we say that fun() is a derived data type.
