Location of daba base servers

Question

So server is physical computer which recieve requests from client computers. When I create data base in sql, do I communicate with sql server and where are data base servers(computers) located?

these server could be located anywhere in the world, you could even host a sql server of your own and interract with it at home. most industries will have their own server where they keep their websites and databases. nowadays a lot is going to the cloud (managed by another company)
