As a self taught php programmer, that has been learning it for over 2 months, How long can I start getting freelance work

If possible I would suggest working in a company before trying to build a carreer as a freelancer. You'll acquire skills faster and you can rely on other people's experience, so you don't have to aimlessly stumble through problems you haven't encountered before.

time doesn't matter here, practice makes improvement. You will able to start freelance within a month or 6 months, time depends on your efforts to do code.

Not sure what advice to give, I don't work in recruiting or anything. But maybe try building a website so you have something concrete to show an employer. Devs are in super high demand so you can definitely land a job. As a junior of course.

If you just want to get into IT, a possible carreer path could be Test Automation, it requires less coding experince and still has great opportunities for making lots of money. It would allow you to focus on those skills that people in their 20s have less of, like being diligent and planning ahead :)

But if you want to do PHP that's fine too, go do some interviews and talk to people, you can just ask them what they think you're lacking and focus on that, and then reapply half a year later. But yeah definitely build some PHP programs or websites first :)

Start freelancing with small projects or exercises. You only need to search for them. It is not easy to be chosen but you have to start from somewhere.

You might not get work in either case Patrick. However, you have to begin somewhere. As Schindlabua said, there's a bit of a safety net working in a company that doesn't exist for freelancers. If you fail to deliver everything on time and perfectly done, then you might never receive work again as a freelancer.
