Apple eye you don't need to be. Once learnt, it's a friendly language. Practice will help you get better at it. And in case of problems you surely have the community here. 👍

Try to build your confidence and thinking by learning easy languages like HTML,Python,C or you may try Kotlin and Go

Well java is fully object orientiented, so you dont need recursive methods and functions , its maybe one of the noobfriendliest language in my opinion
